Church Teams
According to The United Methodist Book of Discipline, our denominational guide or “polity,” “The church conference shall elect upon recommendation by the committee on nominations and leadership development ….at least the following leaders: chairperson of church council, the committee on nominations and leadership development, the committee on staff-parish relations and its chairperson, the chairperson and additional members of the committee on finance, the financial secretary and the church treasurer (if not paid employees,) and the trustees. Also approved are the lay member/delegate to annual conference and lay leader, as well as the recording secretary.
